Water Cost Analysis

Water Audit, Waste Water & Surface Water Analysis for Manchester Metropolitan University

Commissioned by the university to audit water cost analysis, waste water and surface water charges levied by United Utilities, H2O Building Services have recently completed two phases of work on and off-site works.

Phase one of the project was to identify areas of the reduction on surface water charges and then prevent these reductions by negotiation with United Utilities on the existing surface water charges levied by them. With our water cost analysis H2O have secured savings and refunds in excess of a staggering £434,000!

Phase two of the commissioned works saw H2O carrying out a full water and waste water audit of all buildings, identifying inefficiency of use through toilet areas and other water facilities on site.

Through the installation of specific water saving devices and the modification of small plant on site further savings in excess of £70,000 a year have now been achieved on the university’s behalf all down to the water cost analysis.
