Water costs £1.50 per cubic metre from the tap, put it in a bottle £3,950!

That’s right water costs £3,950 per cubic metre.

We see complaint after complaint about water costs in the media, and to be frank I really did not realise how expensive water costs.

Yes I know there will be those of you (in the minority) who will say your a water audit expert you should know and you would be right to a point, but not being a fan of bottled water I don’t buy it but believe me it is one big rip off.

Bottled water is certainly not good for the environment, the industry produces glass and plastic bottles, millions upon millions a year may end up in our seas and water ways, also dumped on roads and in the countryside.

So would the fact I have highlighted the true water costs in terms of comparison between water from the tap and that which you may purchase in a bottle make you think about bottled water?

Remember £1.50 a cubic metre (1000 litres) from the tap and £3,950 per cubic metre from bottled water.

Try buying your own water bottle, adding a slice of lemon, fill from the tap (at £1.50 per cubic metre) seal and place in the fridge, cool refreshing water a touch of citrus at a fraction of the cost to you and the environment.

Enjoy and “Value water more”
