Water audit experts identify 4 year water company overcharge.

The water audit experts at H²O Building Services commenced a national project for a long established natural stone, concrete and landscaping business. Having gathered all the water and waste water bills over the last few years the water bureau team constructed a water database in order to produce an historical picture of the water volumes, charges and tariffs levied by various water companies. Once all of the historical water billing data had been recorded this was then passed to the water audit team within H²O as the first stage in any project was to identify any water company overcharging as customers are always delighted to receive water bill rebate cheques at the start of any project, and this was no exception.

It quickly became apparent through examining water company sewer records held within H²O Building Services databases there were no water company sewer pipes within the area of one of the sites and that waste water charges were being levied by the water company for the last 4 years. A claim was raised against Thames Water for cancellation of charges going forwards and a refund of overcharges, further communications took place between H²O Building Services and Thames Water and a refund of £ 8,116.94 was agreed and resulted in an annual saving of £ 2,500 per year.
